By specializing in honouring the uniqueness of love stories, I will work with you to create a ceremony that is reflective of your authenticity, and your ceremony will be as personal and intimate as you wish. Whether it is spiritual, non-denominational or multicultural, and takes place at a winery, farm, cottage, backyard, or other non-traditional setting, it is my honour to be present with you as your officiant.
My professional background includes a Masters of Education researching mindfulness, Bachelor of Education, and Bachelor of Arts in Child Psychology. Aligning with my genuine love of connecting with people, my career has included time working in post-secondary institutions, the public library, and teaching in the public school board. I am grateful to have volunteered at an animal sanctuary, botanical gardens, and am the Executive Director of a non-profit adult learning organization.
In addition to cherishing moments with people and animals, I love hiking, fitness, road-tripping, meditation, travelling, basking in candlelight, and cooking. I find peace and enjoyment in simple pleasures, acknowledging feelings and moments as cozy, charming, and special. I grew up between Canada and Poland, and am bilingual in English/Polish. Living within the vibrancy of the Niagara Region is a dream.
My love story began when I met my husband on the school bus in high school, initially connecting as percussionists and becoming best friends. We spent four years living between Sydney, Australia and Canada. We live in a 100 year old home with our three rescue dogs and our daughter, Aurora. We are mindful of supporting Aurora in exploring her mixed-race identity and cultural roots, and are encouraging of her innate humourous free-spirit, wonder, kind heart, and grateful demeanour.
Alongside a Buddhist monk, Cathy officiated our wedding in 2018, and it is an absolute privilege to be on the CD & Co. team, collaborating with the brilliant community of wedding vendors. I look forward to connecting with you, celebrating the power of love, and helping you experience the bliss of your unique ceremony.
