FAY VANDENBEUKEL ~ Serving Niagara, Hamilton, Burlington

 

I believe it’s important to celebrate the milestones in life.  Events such as marriage, the birth of a child and the passing of a loved one are the things that help define our lives and who we are.  This is why I love what I do!!  I have the privilege and honour of being a part of these occasions in the lives of those we serve.  I enjoy meeting people, hearing their stories and helping bring something unique and meaningful to these life events.

 

I feel fortunate to have celebrated many such occasions in my own life.  Garry and I have been married for over 40 years.  We met as teenagers and together we raised our two children Geoffrey and Krista. Family has always been the centre of our lives.  Now, we are proud and doting grandparents to Jacob and Annaleigh who bring us such joy!  Recently, our grand-dog Marvin (a100 pound Bernedoodle) joined the family and he is a wonderful addition. 

 

Besides family, learning new things has always been important to me. Garry and I supported each other as we went back to school and trained to become elementary school educators.  Being a teacher and principal was more than a job.  It was a career that spanned over 20 years.  When I retired from education, I knew that I wanted to do something where I could be a positive influence and continue learning new things and meeting interesting people.  I enjoy public speaking and communicating with people.  Joining Celebrating Life Ministries and Cathy Davis and Company allows me to use this skill set.  

 

For me it is the best of both worlds: time in the working world connecting with interesting people, with leisure time to enjoy golf, skiing, travel, cooking, concerts and theatre.

Couple Love

Cannot say enough good things about Fay.  From the moment we met Fay we had the best feeling about her and so glad she was our officiant – could not have asked for anyone better! She is warm, organized and professional – from the star of the process until the day of the ceremony we knew we were in good hands.  She really did a great job of keeping us on track and shared some great insights as we were working through the final ceremony details.  Her attention to detail was much appreciated, the ceremony ran effortlessly because of Fay’s preparations.  Her involvement helped us have such a memorable and fun ceremony.  Everything about the way she put our ceremony together made it so heartfelt and personal – she helped make our day truly special!
