I have many years of experience working in Ministry, celebrating hundreds of weddings, celebrations of life and new life.  As an officiant, I believe that it’s imperative that you find and choose someone who is ‘just right’ for you.  So let me tell you a little about me. I was born and raised in the Kitchener-Waterloo area and have lived in the Niagara region for the last 20 years. I have been married for 33 years to my amazing wife Karen and we have 4 wonderful children, two married and we've been blessed with five wonderful grandchildren.

When it comes to your special day, I am ready to assist you in creating a ceremony that reflects and honours you and your relationship.  I believe your ceremony should be uniquely ‘yours’, reflecting you as individuals and as a couple.  I will work with you to create a special ceremony that is perfect and personal for you, as well as one that is comfortable for your friends and family where they feel welcomed and included. I will be as passionate about your wedding as you are about your ceremony.   I am a laid back, personable, outgoing person with a great sense of humour.   I take pride in what I do and want to be sensitive to your needs. Couples Love

Weddings involve a lot of choices, and for us, choosing someone to lead our wedding ceremony was an important one. We considered asking family members but no one seemed quite right and besides that, we wanted our family to enjoy the ceremony. So, we started searching online. Some of our vendors recommended Cathy Davis Wedding Officiants so we looked through each profile. Honestly, I don't quite recall what it was that drew us to Paul initially (maybe fate?) but we couldn't be happier with our choice. Upon meeting Paul, we had an instant connection. We loved that Paul was so open to however we wanted to do our ceremony. We often found that during the wedding planning process friends and family had a lot of opinions. Paul didn't have opinions - he had ideas - and was so supportive and excited about our ideas. We also loved that Paul had a huge family with a million kids. Our discussions with Paul weren't just about the wedding but about life together after the wedding - and they were very honest and real discussions. Through a few coffee dates we really got to know Paul which we so appreciated because we wanted to know a little bit about the person marrying us. Leading up to the wedding, Paul was really easy to get in touch with which is huge when you're trying to plan the big day. Paul led the rehearsal with our family and wedding party members for us which so helped us with peace of mind the night before the wedding. We invited Paul to our rehearsal dinner with our parents and our siblings and it was as if Paul was one of our family members - laughing and enjoying the meal together. On the day of the wedding, Paul was incredible. I'm sure he could do this stuff in his sleep but really, Paul went above and beyond - he followed everything as we had planned together but also added in some extremely thoughtful and heartfelt surprises for us. Our guests have commented to us over and over how they absolutely loved our ceremony and thought Paul was absolutely fantastic. We've been asked if Paul was our uncle or cousin.  One of our second cousins said it was "like something out of a storybook" and we couldn't agree more. We really owe much of that to Paul and we can't thank him enough. I'm sure we will be in touch with Paul for years to come - not only because he was incredible at his job - but because we consider him a dear friend.
